Extend the Experience – Repurpose your written material

Members of the Midwest Writers Association attended a presentation at the Skokie Library by Reno Lovison called “Extend the Experience – Repurpose material you have already created.”

The impetus of the program was based on the fact that all MWA members are non-fiction writers and most are authors or subject matter experts in one or more areas of interest.

Having already done the hard work of researching, organizing and writing a substantial body of work why leave it at that?

Much of that material can be repurposed into smaller snippets of content and presented as short videos, podcasts, audio segments and even memes and graphics all for the purpose of creating interest in their book or developing a deeper connection with their fanbase.

The same material can be repurposed into audiobooks to meet the needs of those consumers who prefer that format or even online classes if their subject lends itself to the “how to” or DIY crowd.
