Not sure where to price your ebook? According to the keynote presentation by AuthorEarnings.com given at the 2016 Digital Book World event in NYC. I seems the pricing sweet spot for ebooks by self-published and indie authors would be in the $2.99 – $3.99 range. Many of these are probably first time authors. The presenter made the point that the primary sales objective of debut authors is to build a following and create a fan base which probably also accounts for a significant number of books by new and indie authors priced under a dollar as well. The objective of an established author and their more established publishers is to make more money not necessarily churn through more units. So you will see that the sweet spot for ebook pricing for established authors spikes in the $9.99 level with significant additional sales between $11 and $15.
